LGBTE INTERNATIONAL ARTS 2012
Turin 04th May – 04th June 2012
THE THEME
Every year the Artistic Committee develops a leading thread for the event, as a basis on which the participant artists’ selection is made.
The 2012 main theme is about the contrast that arises between “Pride and Prejudice”.
On one hand there’s the artists’ Pride: their force of will, their boost that leads them to really “be” an artist nowadays, and to embark on what actually is a full on struggle in their everyday life. On the other hand lies the Prejudice, more than ever consolidated in the modern society: the common opinion that follows the figure of the creative young guy, in recent times reduces him almost to a disreputable and temperamental fellow, complicating his position all the more, and thus minimizing his chances of achievement.
